Student Visa Checklist & Requirements

General Documents Required

A completed student visa application via Immigration New Zealand (INZ) online portal.
A valid passport with at least 6 months validity beyond intended stay.
Two recent passport-sized photographs (front-facing, taken within the last 6 months).
Offer letter or confirmation of enrolment (CoE) from an approved New Zealand education provider.
Proof of sufficient funds to cover tuition fees, living costs, and return airfare.
Proof of Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the entire study duration.
English language proficiency test results (IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent), if required.
Statement of Purpose (SOP) or Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) statement.
NID or birth certificate copy, translated and notarized if not in English.
All non-English documents must be translated by an authorized translator and notarized.

Academic Documents

Academic transcripts and certificates from previous studies.
Official leave certificate from last attended institution.
Gap explanation documents if applicable.

Professional Documents

Documents to prove ties to Bangladesh and intention to return:

Business Person: Trade license, TIN, income tax returns, business ownership documents, bank statements.
Employee: NOC from employer, salary slips, job contract/ID card.
Student: Student ID, enrollment certificate, official leave letter.
Retired Person: Retirement and pension documents.
Dependent: Sponsor’s documents and relationship proof.
Government Service: NOC and service documents.
Professionals: Relevant certificates and memberships.

Additional Documents

Police clearance certificate (if requested).
Medical examination report from INZ-approved panel physicians.
Details of any previous visas or refusals.
Affidavit for any discrepancies in documents (notarized).
