Our Visa Process
U.S. Student Visa Checklist & Requirements
General Documents Required
- Completed DS-160 online nonimmigrant visa application form.
- Valid passport (at least six months validity beyond intended stay in the U.S.).
- One U.S.-standard passport photo (2x2 inches, white background).
- SEVIS I-901 fee payment receipt.
- Form I-20 issued by the U.S. educational institution.
- Visa fee payment confirmation receipt (USD 185).
- Proof of financial ability to cover tuition and living expenses (bank statements, scholarship letters, affidavits of support).
- Proof of ties to Bangladesh (job, business, property, family documents) demonstrating intent to return after studies.
- Marriage certificate (if applicable; English translation if needed).
- NID/Birth certificate (English version or translated & notarized).
- Previous passport(s) with travel history (if any).
Academic Documents
- Acceptance letter from the SEVP-certified U.S. institution.
- Official transcripts and certificates from prior education.
- Proof of English language proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent) if required.
Supporting Documents Based on Occupation
Submit documents based on your current profession to support your application:
- Business Person: Trade license, tax returns (3 years), bank statements, business registration documents.
- Employee: NOC from employer, salary slips (6 months), employment contract, leave approval.
- Student: Student ID, enrollment certificate, official leave letter.
- Retired Person: Retirement documents, pension proofs.
- Dependent (Spouse/Children/Parents): Sponsor’s NOC, financial documents, relationship proof.
- Government Service Holder: NOC and service documents.
- Professionals (Doctors/Lawyers/Artists/Freelancers): Licenses, membership certificates, portfolio.
- Maid/Driver: Employer’s NOC, sponsorship letters, employment contract.
Other/Special Documents
- Membership certificates (clubs, associations) if applicable.
- Previous visa refusals or approvals.
- Notarized affidavit for name/document mismatch.
- If passport lost: police report (GD) and supporting documents.
- Alternative phone numbers for verification.

- Apply through the U.S. Embassy website and complete DS-160 online.
- Pay SEVIS I-901 fee before scheduling visa interview.
- Visa fee: USD 185 (non-refundable).
- Attend visa interview at U.S. Embassy Dhaka with all documents.
